  2 of us got there just before closing. The schnitzels were HUGE, and as someone that doesn't like sauerkraut, their's was actually quite pleasant! The food came fast, the staff were very friendly, but not overbearingly so! The perfect end to the night!

  I have had my fair share of schnitzel's and by far this is the best. I've been here over 15 times and I won't stop. I keep reading reviews about the pork - haven't tried it but if you order the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce you won't be disappointed. Huge portion and good sides. You can change the 'hash brown' default side for fries (and they are so good).

  I have been coming here for 10+ years for a great schnitzel, and yesterday was as usual.... Great. I have brought family, friends, colleagues to this place and I am a fan!

  This is a family favourite for us. My boys love the schnitzel--big, tasty, tender. I've enjoyed the pork knuckle but lately tend to opt for the sausage platter. It never disappoints. The details in my opinion are right--the sauerkraut is tasty, as is the red cabbage. I always get a Czech pils when I'm there. Not to be missed is the rosti. We always get one order per person, which means we have just a bit more food than we need, but can't stop eating it. I don't think my German mother would have found fault with anything if she had ever been to Essen. The wait staff is always friendly, knowledgable and helpful.

  Great selection of beers and schnapps however some of our first choices are not Available. Service is nice considered only one waiter on a weeknight but he did well ! Food. Very good. We each ordered one main and more than enough ! Could have done better with some warmer lighting (some parts of the restaurant) to create a more cosy ambience . Will be back !
